Like Early Frost (Nikola's Story of Vasa Ladački): script for the featured ballad. The book, written as a script for the film which is already being made, is really well-equipped, with numerous photos and illustrations, hardback edition. It was written in a well-known style of Balašević, with some adjustments to the script form.

The book, which was published with the help of dear friends from „DDOR Novi Sad" company, has this subtitle: „Nikola's Story of Vasa Ladački". It is a novel full of instructions for the actors, or to be more precise, it is a romanticized love story written as a play. This edition is the homage to a particular time in which the story is set -  says Olivera Balašević, the director of the production company „Salayka" and Đole's wife. She also added that this book is unique for so many reasons.

- We kept the idea of the first manuscript in the press thus the book contains footnotes with various notes and drawings made by Đole. This edition also has a small cuff on the cover with a note from the author saying that anyone who buys this book becomes a potential co-producer of the future film „Kao rani mraz" (Like Early Frost) - reveals Olivera and adds:

- The making of this film started at the end of November, but the majority of it will be made in September and October next year. It is not typical in our country to have a book published as a script first and then to make a film according to it. But let's think internationally. In this case, the author of the film has an additional challenge to guess the image that the reader had created. However, when it comes to Đole, his fans know what to expect. First signals are already coming from the actors who would like to take part in this project such as Mira Banjac, Rade Šerbedžija and Miki Manojlović - concludes Olivera Balašević.
